I'm not a duck. Reading and writing skills.

With this text, intermediate English level students will learn about a peculiar animal, while expanding their vocabulary array and working on their writing and reading skills. With this approach, the teacher introduces several terms related to nature and the animal world, resulting in a transversal and meaningful learning. Afterwards, students have to make up an animal, stating its parts and drawing a picture of it. Finally, they write a description of the animal they have previously created.

  1. Good morning Christopher,

You have created a complete and really useful activity where pupils can learn about a topic which I consider to be very interesting. The worksheet you share is well organized and I like the fact that you have prepared several activities which are related to the different language skills such as reading, vocabulary, listening and writing.
    Good job ;)

Reported speech 2: Say vs Tell

Reporting verbs say and tell: Say y tell son verbos similares que producen mucha confusión.  1. Cuando utilizamos  "tell"   tenemos que añadir el objeto directo (me, you, us), le decimos a alguien algo. Por ejemplo: John  told  me  (that) he was going to be late. ==>" You tell somebody something" 2.  "Say" se utiliza para decirle algo a alguien. Es muy utilizado en direct speech acompañado del "to" . Por ejemplo: Ann said goodbye   to   me and left.==>"You say something to somebody" También se utiliza con el reported speech sin el "to", por ejemplo:  John  said  (that) he would be late. ==>"You say Something" Activity 2: Say vs Tell Say vs Tell activity
