Story Maker and retelling.

Students will make their own story using the Story Maker application from the British Council’s website. They can make three types of stories: a fairy story, a horror story, or a science fiction story. O nce they have created the story they will work in groups of three, they will exchange the stories and read them individually. Retelling is a methodology used to assess how well a student has comprehended a story. In this activity students will not only work on their reading skills, but also on their speaking skills.   Click the link

I'm not a duck. Reading and writing skills.

With this text, intermediate English level students will learn about a peculiar animal, while expanding their vocabulary array and working on their writing and reading skills. With this approach, the teacher introduces several terms related to nature and the animal world, resulting in a transversal and meaningful learning. Afterwards, students have to make up an animal, stating its parts and drawing a picture of it. Finally, they write a description of the animal they have previously created. Activity link (click here )
